Attack on minorities in Kalukhali, Bangladesh
A group of Islamic extrimists attacked the minority village of Khagjana in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari, Bangladesh. Ram Saha, Sudeb Karmakar and Sentu Karmakar were injured in the attack. The incident took place around 11 pm on Saturday. Sudeb Karmakar has filed a case with Kalukhali police station. Police have arrested two persons named Zillul and Barek in the incident. Joydev Karmakar, general secretary of the Rajbari district branch of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad, said his village home is in Khagjana. At around 11 pm, 50 to 60 miscreants tried to attack the Karmakar Bari Durga Mandir with weapons. The locals unite and go to stop them. Sudeb Karmakar, Ram Saha and Sentu Karmakar were injured in the attack. The assailants fled when the locals united and resisted. They smashed the fences of several houses on the way.
