Minority hindu schoolgirl studying in 8th class is a victim of gang rape

 A schoolgirl studying in 8th class of Hindu community in Targaon village of Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur has been gang-raped. Police have arrested a young man named Sumon Islam (20) in the incident.


It is learned that Sumon Islam and his two accomplices, who were lying in ambush at the corner of Mallikpur Three Road at around 6 pm, took the girl to a nearby forest forcibly and gang rape. 

When the accused left after raping her, she came to the front of Bakhar Khuria shop with weak body and fell unconscious. At this time, when the locals recognized the girl, they rushed her to her house in a van.


On the other hand, the accused came to the house immediately after the incident and threatened that what has happened is that there is no need to go too far.

On the other hand, when the incident became known to all, when the teenager tried to commit suicide by drinking twenty, she was immediately rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where she escaped death. The teenager is still undergoing treatment.

A case of torture and rape of a child and a woman has been registered under section 9/3 at Kaharol police station on February 8. Case No. 02-19.


In the incident, the police immediately arrested the youth named Sumho Islam (20).

 Police OC Ayub Ali confirmed the incident and said that one person has been arrested in the incident. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused.
