According to the complaint, the young daughter of Nirananda Sarkar of Kharia village of Kaliarbhanga union of Nabiganj upazila went out of the house on Tuesday night to respond to the call of nature. Sumon Mia, Swapan Mia Gangra, son of Sundar Mia of Laharjpur village, forcibly picked her up and raped her in a medieval manner in an abandoned house next door.


The occupants of the house searched him a lot and Paridan rescued him unconscious from the abandoned house of a nearby shoemaker on Wednesday morning. Upon receiving the news, Nabiganj Police Station OC Investigation Uttam Kumar Das and a team of police led by SI Perth Chakraborty rescued the victim and brought him to Nabiganj Police Station and sent him to Habiganj Modern Hospital for medical examination.


In this regard, OC Investigation Uttam Kumar Das said, Victim was rescued and sent to Habiganj Modern Hospital for medical examination. The operation to arrest the accused is continuing. Shortly after the incident, the accused men allegedly threatened the plaintiffs not to lodge a complaint with the police station by discrediting the ruling party. Panic is prevailing among the minority people of Kharia village in this incident.
