Hindu idol and the temple were vandalized by Muslims in a dispute over entering a goat field in Mathbaria of Pirojpur, Bangladesh and eating crops.

The incident took place at Nilkant Mistry's house in Dakshin Sonakhali of the Upazila on Friday noon.

Police rushed to the spot and arrested Kabir, son of local Quddus Hawladar and Nasir, son of Fazlul Haque Hawladar of Madhya Sonakhali. However, relatives claim that Nasir is mentally handicapped.

Mathbaria Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Masuduzzaman said a case has been filed in the incident.
