 On September 20, 2024, Islamist terrorists set fire to the Siddheshwari Kali Temple in the Chakbazar area of Cumilla early in the morning. This act of arson raises serious concerns about the safety of religious minorities in the region. Local authorities are currently investigating the incident and assessing the damage to the temple. Community leaders are urging for enhanced security measures to protect places of worship.
