Idols Vandalized at Two Temples in Faridpur

In Faridpur, the idols of Durga, Kartik, Arjun, Ganesh, and others were vandalized at the Hari Temple in the Gurdapatti area of Vanga Upazila. The attack occurred just days after artisans had completed the idol-making process, with preparations underway for painting. Approximately 100 meters away, at the Vanga Sarbajanin Kali Temple, the Ganesh idol was also found damaged after the construction work was finished and painting was pending. Both incidents took place during the night of September 17, raising alarm over the safety of religious minorities in the region. Local authorities are investigating the vandalism.
