Hindu Youth Brutally Beaten in Khulna Over Alleged Blasphemy

 In Khulna, a Hindu youth named Utshob Mondal age 15 was brutally beaten by an angry mob over rumors of blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM on September 4 in the Sonadanga residential area. Local college students claimed that Mondal had made derogatory remarks about the Prophet on social media. After being apprehended by a group of students, he was taken to the Deputy Police Commissioner's office, where hundreds gathered to protest and demand his punishment.

Despite attempts by police and military personnel to calm the situation, the mob broke into the office and assaulted Mondal. The police later stated that he would be brought to justice, but the violence escalated, leaving him seriously injured. While reports initially suggested that he had died, law enforcement later confirmed that he was alive and receiving medical treatment, though his exact location remains undisclosed. The incident highlights ongoing tensions and the risks faced by minority communities in the region.
